Im just wondering... i know all mos's are different, but what is the fastest Pvt to Cpl you have seen soo far...

S-4 shop......, had a boot Lcpl come into the squadron and picked up Cpl in less than 6 months or so it seemed. While us Marines downstairs busting hump everyday picked up Cpl just before getting out of AD. If you were a Sgt in our shop it meant you reenlisted at one point.

I was a Sgt. of Marines for 10 years. That is Sgt E-4, Acting Sgt. and Sgt. E-5. Had to become a Drill instructor to get promoted to SSgt. Stayed SSgt. for two years then made GySgt. This was with a 3041 MOS.

20 months from Pvt in bootcamp to CPL- AAVs (1833)
Only one of the promotions was meritorious (CPL). The sad thing for me was that it took me another 24 months to get SGT. Had a LT that hated me and purposely kept my pros and cons low until I was almost out of his platoon. He was a lot like that jackass Major in Heartbreak Ridge that gave Gunny Highway hell. I'd attribute his actions to the reasons why I decided not to reup.

Intel's pretty fast in general. I got laughed at for taking so long to pick up Cpl (21 month LCpl). Most have Lance either in Pensacola, or the month or two after. Can't speak for my 02 brethren as well, but there seems to be a heluva lot of Cpls downstairs too. And linguists seem to pick up Cpl right out of MOS school.
