Hi, I'm new to Leatherneck.com, it has been very helpful to me and answered tons of questions I've had about wanting to join. I've taken my ASVAB and about to do MEPS. I've been looking at basic training info for the past couple of days and found plenty of threads that answered almost all my questions. I searched and searched but have not found any threads about Aviation Ordnance 65xx. I am 110% certain this is the MOS i want.

My questions are..

Did I score well enough on my ASVAB to join this MOS? retake?

Since this is the job I want can I just wait for an opening or will I be put in another aviation school if there are no openings for awhile?

Marines who have been in 65xx could you please share your experiences and all information you think would be helpful for this field..

Thank you
