If anybody is interested in stamps, the US Postal Service is going to issue a set of four stamps, commemorating four Sailors who served with bravery and distinction during the 20th century: William S. Sims, Arleigh A. Burke, John McCloy, and Doris Miller. Although-as far as I am informed-no Marines are portrayed, it might be of interest for some people.

Thats because the Marines have already had stamps made!

On November 10, 2005, the United States Postal Service issued its Distinguished Marines stamps in which Daly, Basilone, Lejeune, and Puller were honored.

I am sorry, Iam p***ed off, they should of had a Devil Doc,like JohnBradley, dont get me wrong, Iam sure they deserved the honor. But the doc s showed bravery over and over again. I dont know if Iam getting upset over nothing but can our historians tell me if us Devil Docs have had a stamp made honoring us thanks.

Hey Doc, there was indeed a stamp issued to honor the Marine Corps´historical role and its bravery especially in the Pacific Theatre, actually this impressive stamp was issued back in 1945, picturing the flag raising at Iwo Jima, therefore also depicting John Bradley:
