A little of THIS and a whole lot of THAT…

A little of THIS

Some might not understand what I am going to place here…those that have earned or worn the Eagle, Globe and Anchor need no explaining…
At the Fitness Center were I work out.
I met a Marine from World War II, would claims to have been in Pappy Boyington squadron…
The other day when I arrived he was about to leave, he gave his greeting of “Semper Fi”
Than he brought out a two inch harmonica.
He than proceeded to play the Marine Corps Hymn…never heard it better.
I cannot see anyone of the other services doing this for a fellow member.
Made my day

Now for a whole lot of THAT
The war in Iraq is turning more like Vietnam.
Two countries are been used as staging areas, Syria and Iran.
The Iran’s are avowed enemies of the Iraqi’s.
They must hate us more than Iraqi’s.
There are long borders that will have to be guarded.
What pressure can we bring on those two countries?
Will we be using the same tactics as the Israeli’s?
Bombing them were they are staging.
All these Arabs look alike.
How can you tell the difference?
Shades of Vietnam.
Our worst nightmare.

One ting we got to remember is, were trying to place a Dem-
ocratic Government, where there has never been one. If this
does come to be, the people of all the other Arab Countries are
going to what the same thing. This I think is why we are seeing
all the chaos there. And you can take it to the Bank that all the
trouble that is happening over there is backed by the Saudi's.
They are Two-Faced Lairs.

richgitz sez, "One ting we got to remember is, were trying to place a Dem- ocratic Government, where there has never been one" Isn't that what we were trying to do in Vietnam 40 years ago? I kind of remember something about the "democratic goverment of South Vietnam". I think I have to agree with Ricardo on this one. It's starting to smell like a stinking jungle around here.

The last thing we want is a democracy in Iraq. It would turn out like the theocracy in neighboring Iran.

Just one of the big lies the administration has been spreading.

I'll always remember where I was on Apr 30 1975, when this country lost it's will, and for the first time in it's history, cut & ran.
Maybe the current generation needs it's own 4-30-75 .
