Can anyone here that is well versed in psychology chime in on why people do this? What kind of personality disorder is this? We know that most of them know it is wrong, and will eventually get called out, but why is there a need for someone to actually perform this act? Is it the same function or urge as a Kleptomaniac or Narccisist?

I'm no psychologist, however I think someone with a strong lack of self esteem and a very low opinion of themselves would drive them to do this.

More bluntly, they're losers looking for attention.

For some it is I guess just a way to stand out I myself have not received any Purple Heart or metal of Valor but if I had I would just simply have them they say what they say about the ones who received them. Semper Fi to the ones who do have them!!!!!!!!!!!
