ok all Vietnam vets...sounds like he had been wounded while in Nam...we have to id this Marine.

If he was in the military, he should have fingerprints on file at the FBI. I don't know if they have put all of those into the AFIS system yet. If they are in AFIS, hopefully they took post-mortem prints to run.

If those prints aren't in AFIS, or they don't have post-mortem prints, it's back to square one.

Or, in the alternative, someone could try going through all of the Purple Heart awards and track down those involving GSW to the left bicep. Of course, he could have been shot on the street before or after his service.

ZULU...back in 68 prints were not sent to AFIS and i doubt if anyone at the FBI wants to go thru every military print card and look for this. IF he was wounded in Nam late 67 or early 68 someone on this site might recognize him.

after all he is a brother and needs our help.

There is also another thing to be done, send photos of him to MCRD SD & PI to go threw pictures of years of Recruits. Also Platoon Books of those years. It might take awhile but this Marine could be found this way of photo line up.
