Hello Marines,

I have a question regarding the selection of an MOS,I was doing research and decided that i want to go in as a 6199 enlisted aerial gunner, is this MOS hard to get?

and help would be greatly apreciated

Job Description: Enlisted aircrew/aerial observers/aerial gunners are flight crewmembers that perform duties incident to the operation of Marine helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft.
Job Requirements:
(1) Must have normal color perception.
(2) Must be eligible for a secret s security clearance (http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/generalinfo/a/security.htm).
(3) Volunteer for duties involving flight as an aircraft crewmember.
(4) Must be a 2d class swimmer or higher.
(5) Meet the requirements of OPNAVINST 3710.7 and the USN Manual of the Medical Department with normal depth perception.
(6) Complete all requirement contained in appropriate NATOPS Manual or syllabi peculiar to the aircraft.
