Here are some pictures as promised. I, unfortunately had to sh*tcan some of the photos because they were too dark, even for photoshop. Perhaps it was due to lighting and distance of shot.
Anyway, the company was good, the food was good and, if you were a scoundel and didn't care about checking out all the married women or escorted girlfriends, I'd have to say that "The Scenery" was spectacular. You Marines have good taste in women....at least on this night. LOL.
Major Bruce Morales, the Commanding Officer of RS Ft. Lauderdale, conducted all matters associated with this type of affair with grace, dignity and humor. Brigadier General David C. Garza gave a marvelous speach breaking down the word TRADITION into seperate words, one for each letter. The awards giving were indicative of the effort and professionalism expected of each of the Marine/Marines receiving them. Good work. I was able to meet Brigadier General Garza as I was leaving. Darned if he didn't put out his hand to say hello. Of coarse I said hello back!! Sgt Major Boyce exhibited the command persona expected of his rank while being courteous at the same time. The slide show that was shown had a lot of the photographs that I had taken at the Marine Corps Poolie functions that I had attended in the past. It was a blast seeing Marines pointing themselves out to fellow Marines, their dates for the evening or their wives. SSgt Robert L. Fisher did a splendid job putting the videos and slide shows together within a very, very tight time frame.
It was a good night. Enjoy the photos.

Lupo22,
I took alot more pictures that came out pretty good, I just didn't post them. I did make a cd containing all the photos taken that evening. I had let one of the Sergeants use my camera for a spell and judging from the shots that he took, it looks like he was enjoying himself. He will have to post his pictures because...he took them. LOL.
Enjoy your time at the Ball. I got home at about 2330. I had arrived at 1730 that evening. It was a priviledge and an honor to attend. I was treated very well.
Perhaps, you can take some photos and post them here. Adios, for now.
