Hi again Marines,

I scored a 29 on my 31. Yeah, sad. I was just curious when your time came to take the ASVAB and you didn't pass, how did you do on your retake?

Thanks Marines :usmc:

Does it matter? You need to hit the books and the practice ASVAB quizz's (quizzes?)yourself. Nowadays a 50 MIGHT get you in, but good luck with getting the job you want (and no, pretty sure you can't be a grunt with a 50). Make this about yourself, and not anyone else, and you'll do much better in the long run.

They produce a self-help book on the ASVAB like they do for the SAT's or whatever...its a fairly large book and can be bought either online or through a large bookstore usually for around $25 or so.

The book breaks down the ASVAB into its seperate components and will give you typical examples of what to expect on the actual test.

You want to score as high as you can as that will open many doors to you that will be closed with a lower score....and once (if) you do get in, there's plenty of free education on base to help you with basic skills and comprehension etc. Use it.

Hit the books.

I scored a 32 on the practice test, I needed a 50 to get in.
It took me a few weeks of studying to get it.

This might help also, just so you know what kind of score you would need for a particualr MOS/MOS's you might be interested in.
