Destination 29 Palms, CA...why?? (Good Question) Why would anyone specifically make a choice to go to The Stumps? Well my daughter is there and on August 21st she graduated from her MOS school, Radio Operator. I graduated from the same school...(cough) (cough) 20 years ago. Plus i'm taking her car to her..a nice drive from Dallas, Tx. Then she's off to Camp Pendleton to 9th Comminication Battalion. Will be able to be on two Marine Corp bases with a short amout of time...Life is Good!!

You can check out lodging on the base, if it is full, go to the Holiday Inn Express... they are new and cut me a deal last summer $60 for room with two beds... pretty nice.

I'm back...what a blast. It was great seeing my daughter graduate from the same MOS school as i did.
My old unit 3/4 is at the "Stumps" now. I got to visit my old Comm shop and swap stories with the guys there now. It was a GREAT time!!
