hey all
im 14 (turn 15 in 2 months) and when i get older i want to become a marine but i have 1 small problem. When i was 12 i was diagnosed with asthma it was early in the morning about 6 or 7 am and i was coughing bad and my mom freaked out saying it was an asthma attack. so she took me to the doctor and i was diagnosed with asthma (it was not exercised induced). but a couple weeks after my first and only asthma attack i no longer had symptoms, i no longer had asthma. right now i am asthma free and can run with out any breathing issues. (when we have to run at school after we are done every one is breathing uncontrollably and im not even breathing hard at all.)

my question is will i require a waiver i don't think i will because i did not have asthma past my 13th birthday.

1. When using the word Marine or Marine Corps, it will be capitalized at all times, it's in the site rules along with other rules to read.
2. Use proper sentence structure.....capital letters at the beginning of a sentence and periods at the end of a sentence.
3. Use the search bar, as the topic of childhood asthma and asthma in general has been covered many times.

Sorry about that sir.

I know there were threads similar to this one but every waiver question is unique. I am sorry for not capitalizing Marine but I will look out for that thank you for telling me that.

Listen up here, you're only 14 years old. When speaking to Marines on this site, you WILL RESPECT each and every one of us, got it! You don't talk back to a Sgt of Marines.
You asked a question and we gave you answers, and you don't like the answers we gave you. We aren't Dr's from MEPS nor are we your local Recruiter, either. If you want a true answer to your question, when you're old enough, go talk to a Recruiter and explain your situation to him/her.
I do believe you owe Sgt Sparkie an apology.

When did I say you didn't apologize? I said not to make excuses. They get you nowhere quick. Just giving you advice, take it or leave it, its up to you.

Saying "b!tch I'm the joker" is a catch phrase......and to say it to a Marine. I don't think so.
You want to say that to your friends, go right ahead, but you don't say that kind of crap on a Marine Corps site and to a Marine.
