Ever since I was small, I have wanted to be a Marine. I can thank my father for that. Year by year, I couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted to do in the Corps; I wanted to be able to be in the field and not behind a desk so much, but be an officer as well. I think I've finally found an MOS that might be exactly what I'm looking for.

I plan to attend Annapolis after graduating from high school. Fortunately, my academics and athletics are great. I actually found a PFT calculator somewhere and entered my data, finding I was a first class in it. I also am in the Sons of the American Legion, hopefully that will help in assisting me in getting into the Naval Academy. Also with my father being a police officer, a criminal record is out of the question.

Although, say I do make it to Annapolis, do I select the MOS 0203 after graduating, and go to TBS and so on? Or will I select after TBS? And what training exactly entails the 0203?

Other than that, I can't help you with the first part of your question, but maybe this might help with the MOS you're interested in.

Last I heard, which it probably is still the same, they will look at your request to see if they can give it to you. But if you're needed else where that's where you will go. Sadly the officers don't even get to choose a field. Good news is everyone wants to be in the infantry, unlike another branch I may have possibly been apart of. But you guys have no proof!
