Cherry Point Marines return

HAVELOCK — About 150 Marines returned to Cherry Point from Iraq in three waves over a two-day period, according to base officials.
The Marines are part of Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 4. They were in Iraq for six months.
About 80 of the Marines arrived home Tuesday night. The others arrived during the day Wednesday.
While deployed, the Marines were stationed at Al Asad Air Base in Iraq, where pilots of the EA-6B Prowlers that make up the squadron flew missions in support of coalition forces throughout the country.
The returning Marines are part of a total force of more than 170 returning Marines and sailors who deployed with VMAQ-4 for the sixth-month deployment.
