I am currently a reservist and have a mandatory drill date until Feb '10, I have a conditional release signed by the CG of MarForRes, a letter from CI/Humint accepting me into MOS 0211, and an SSO letter for the TS/SCI clearance.
My question is this:
I was told that I had to deal with the regular (out-in-town) recruiters in order to go active duty, but they have just informed me that I need to go through the prior service recruiter due to the fact that I am a drilling reservist.
I called the prior service recruiter and was informed that they cannot help me if I want to reenlist on the active side.
0211 is currently a "hot fill" job and the OccField specialist says that even with the current hold on reenlistments until Jan '10, my package should make it through no problem.
I just need to know who to talk to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
