I had personal experiences where the US media greatly exagurated enemy activity to our country. If Charlie lobed a few rockets in and they did no damage the state side media would make it sound like the base was over run and we were wiped out.

Personally, I believe this added to the "hopless cause" fuel that got our country so inflamed.

Not to open up a painful bag of worms here but this has been a bug in my brain for the longest time. I am just wondering how many others here saw the same thing.

Very hard to find information about this on the internet....
