Now then lads, just wondering what you yanks think of Royal marines. Im currently Applying for them and just though id look at other marine corps around the world and so i came across this forum :cool:

I got some good buds in the Royals,,,,,,,,,,You can't go wrong with them. IF you can hack it, that is.
I'm pretty sure I've seen a few of them running around here at Camp Geiger the last couple days. Not 100% sure. One had 3 stars on his collar so I'd imagine he's a General...Good ****...very professional looking.
Isn't their boot camp like 36 weeks long or something ridiculous like that???

Its 32 weeks mate, at the moment ive sat the written test and i have my eye test on the 6th october. :marine:

Had some beers with a few at a place in Hong Kong in 1983, think it was called The Bull and the Bear or The brass bull, something like that; we bought some , they bought some, shot the breeze, we left with their girls, nice guys.
