First off I'm 17 and currently working with my parents to get them to sign the papers. They told me to get as many different points of view from former Marines, and viewpoints different from my recruiter. Then i came across these web sites:

Seeing those sites has really stunned and shocked me, mostly because ive seen nothing but positive things from Marines. I just want to know what makes a sh*tbag and why they have this negative attitude and if their exaggerating and being irrational.

And by the way im not one of those super moto kids who thinks the Corps is going to be like Call of Duty 4 and going around saying things like "death before dishonor kill kill kill ooorrahhh semper fi devil dog" and all that other moto stuff. Just about all my family has been in the military and i fully understand that the Marine Corps isnt a happy fairyland career and im up for the challenge. I just want to know about these sh*tbags and why they act like they do.

Not everyone adjusts well to the Marine Corps life. Some people join thinking it will be like what is depicted on tv shows, and end up hating what they get. Just ask lots of questions, and go into it with open eyes.
