between the army and Ourselves(Marines) and play taps for a close friend of mine and my personal hero. SSG William "Bill" Vile. He and I ran with the same pack when I was a nasty civilian and have never met a more humble man before and since him.
Not only was he a close friend of mine but he saved my brothers life in the hills of afghanistan a few years back.
The man rates 3 purple hearts and a bronze star. He never accepted "thank you" from anyone because he was just doing his job and once told me "theres no reason for anyone to thank you for the job you do. you don't thank your garbage man or construction worker"
He ate, breathed, slept and lived the warrior ethos to a point that even Marines should look up to.
I am currently working on a memorial video to send to his family and fiancee and currently I'm at a point of writers block because I'm stuck on one thing: the music. there is no song that fits him good enough.
