A 22-year-old Marine reservist from Boynton Beach died Thursday when his parachute didn't open during a training exercise in central Florida.

Sgt. Jeremiah D. McGraw and fellow Marines were jumping from a C130 aircraft near Wauchula when the accident occurred, according to the Hardee County Sheriff's Office. It is investigating the death along with military personnel.

Sgt. McGraw was part of the 4th ANGLICO unit in West Palm Beach.

He was due to be commissioned a second lieutenant, according to the unit's Web site.

"You will be missed, but you will always be remembered by your brothers from the 4th," read a posting on the site.

A Facebook memorial page, which affectionately referred to Sgt. McGraw as "Jerms," said he would be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Monday at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel.

His funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel at 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach.
