This is what I feel about the Marine Corps.

If someone asks me will I die for the Corps I will say hell no.
If someone asks me will I kill for the Corps I will say maybe.
Then I will tell them they're asking the wrong questions.

Will I die for my fellow Marines? hell yes
Will I kill for my fellow Marines? hell yes

That's my understanding of the Marine Corps. Just wanted to share.

JLC18;

I have to disagree somewhat but I get your point.

I believe "I" am the Corps. I believe my Brothers and Sisters are the Corps as well.

So, if someone asks; "Would you die for the Corps"? or "Would you kill for the Corps"? I would volunteer a wholehearted and dedicated "YES".

But I do believe you have the "Bottom Line" correct. Our Brothers and Sister are the foundation of the Corps.

Was I proud to be a Marine? Yes
Am I still proud to be a Marine? Oh YES I Still Am.

Thanks for your post.

And always remember this... Marines die. That's what we're here for. But The Marine Corps lives forever. And that means you live forever.

Don't ya just love that?
