I'm not one of the anti-Favre types but that's pretty blatant. Every player knows that is wrong.
Gonna be interesting to see the response of pass rushers with regards to roughing the passer when it comes to Farve.

The irony is that a few plays earlier, a Texan d-lineman had Favre lined up for a clear kill shot just as Favre was releasing a pass, but pulled up and didn't touch him. The MNF announcers even commented on it, saying something like "a pre-season courtesy and respect for Favre...that would have been a big hit during the season..."

Pay back is a beetch.

My fantasy is the Brett gets planted by the end of the first half of MN @ GB, and they drape his retired jersey over him while he's unconscious.

I'm no fan of Favre but show me a football player who hasn't done something similiar once in their career.

OK I may be a little sick but that's kind of funny to me. :scared:

He's an experienced NFL veteran and a professional, that type of block has been banned from play for decades, it's inexcuseable. Dumbass move!!

It was dirty, and not to mention illegal. No, it's not the worst hit any of us have ever seen, but it makes me cringe any time I see an NFL player do something that is both unnecessary and knowingly illegal, and puts someone else in such danger. I know it's a dangerous game these days, and physical plays have to be made, but this, in my opinion, doesn't fall into that category. Brett Favre didn't have to go that low and put Eugene Wilson's knees in jeoparady. It was a stupid and unnecessary hit by a veteran player, and in my opinion, should be fined for the illegal hit.
I'm glad the announcers didn't use kid gloves on the usually sacred Brett Favre when they pointed this out.

What goes around, comes around..... The season hasn't started yet. :devious:
I predict that Favre will not complete the season.

Here is an interesting link about the "crack back block" concerning receiver Hines Ward who is acknowledged to do this all the time.

Bret Farve= Hof.

Not if he never retires. He hurts his stats when he comes back. Step a side after this season and let a young QB step up, mentor the FNG your second year with MIN.

Farve ...Brett Farve....mentor somebody ?? It will be a cold day in hell before he would mentor any young guy coming up...he didn't do it in Green Bay, why would he start now, nothing in it for him.

Bret Farve= Hof.

I am getting to the point where I hope that when he does go to the Hall Of Fame (that's a gimme), he's still so pi$$ed off at the Packers that he goes in as a Jet or a Viqueen. I don't want him sullying our colors anymore.

I'll drink to that.

Let us not forget that Aaron Rogers is still the best QB in the NFC North.

I wonder why the Texan players did not try to take his head off after that?

That game should have become more physical after a cheap shot like that:usmc:

Brett is a HOFQB, but that stuff is not necessary:thumbdown

I hope that ends up being true, despite the (ack!) bears picking up Jay Cutler. http://www.leatherneck.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=549&pictureid=6662
