Question about ship dates and delay programs.

Hello, Marines i'm 21 years old and one to two semesters away from getting my associates degree. I'm really eager to enlist but i do not want to be shipped out before i can finish my degree. The reason i am asking here and not a recruiter is because i know recruiters need to make a quote and i do not want to keep a recruiter waiting around for me while im at school waiting to enlist. Is there any advice you could give me on this matter. Thank you for you time it's much appreciated.

Believe me when I say, right now they have a "Quota" but when the ship dates are no closer then 6 or 7 months away, all you have to do is tell them when you want to ship. There is no obligation to sit and get the true answers that you need. I'm in Jersey also and I know many recruiters. Not everyone is about "sign, sign,sign". Ask and you might receive. Good luck

yeah, he's right... there's no mad rush... they are turning people away right now... it's not the same environment it was maybe a year ago.
