Hello Marines. As well as recently deciding to join the Marine Corps after high school I have also chosen a career that I think I will enjoy and also suits my interests and personality. I want to be a military analyst, and I feel it would be helpful for my future career and chances of landing a job in this competitive field if I choose a MOS in the Marine Corps that will help me prepare for it.

So do any of you have suggestions? Thanks in advance.

(By the way, if the Marine Corps isn't the best branch for this it won't break my heart. Above everything else I want to join the marine corps to be a Marine.)

Welcome aboard! Now, first, congrats on following *some* of our rules/pet peeves (you completed a profile before posting).

However, Marine Corps is always capitalized.

Next, I'd suggest checking out the 'sticky' we have on the 0231 Intelligence Specialist MOS. I believe that will guide you in your decisions.

Since you're new and might not know your way around yet, here's the link.

Thank you Sergeant, it won't happen again.

And also thanks for writing that great summary of your job 0231Marine. The way you described it makes me think it is perfect for me but I want to sit down with my recruiter before I decide on my MOS for sure.
