Thought I'd show some vintage, and named, Good Conduct Medals that are out there. Some of these are rarer than others, others not as much. Sadly, I don't own any named or multi-barred USMC Good Conduct's, much as I'd like one.

But, for those who've never seen what they look like, here are a few.


First, this is an un named 7th award GCM. Probably dates to just before WWII.

Cool stuff. I think it was a good idea to dispense with the bars.

I dunno...I thought they were kinda classy myself. Set us apart from the other services in some ways. The bars also came in slightly different styles, too, some hand engraved.
