When Joel was a ten-year-old boy, an act of horrific brutality nearly destroyed him.
Although Joel's physical scars would heal over time, his mental ones would last a lifetime.
To escape the demons that plague his psyche, Joel joins a violent gang. With his life spiraling out of control and destined to relive the violence he experienced as a youngster over and over again, fate suddenly leads him to a different place.
Joel joins the Marines and receives a "little black book" from Mike his brother, who had carried it through his tour in the Vietnam War. After reading it, Joel seems driven to find and give the small black book to his brother Patrick, who has been in Vietnam some two months at the height of the 1968 "Tet Offensive," the most dangerous time of war. Joel's suffers a head wound that takes him on a heavenly journey then returns with a mission, and to meet a beautiful feisty "angel," Sunne, a Red Cross nurse who nurses Joel back to life after the near death experience. A Love story begins to flourishes, but Joel and Sunne's Journey is far from finished. Their final tour of duty takes them to Israel on December 21, 2012, where the battle of epic proportions will be fought.
