How To Lose An Election in 10 Different Ways

Democrats are lined up and flailing away at President Bush with all they’ve got. With sixteen months to go before the 2004 elections everything they do will now be political in nature. But unfortunately for the left, every time they take a poke at the White House, they come up empty. It’s pretty clear as to why the left continues to fail, the country has moved to the right, while the Democrats have leaped to the far left.

Without a complete strategy shift, or a disastrous next several months for the Bush team, the left is headed for an Electoral College disaster in the 2004 Presidential election. The reason is clear; the far left is the driving force behind far too many of the Democratic presidential wannabes. The more they pander to their far left base, the farther they get from mainstream America.

Crank up the fax machines; it’s time for the talking points.

HOW TO LOSE AN ELECTION IN 10 DIFFERENT WAYS:

10) SUPPORT THE GAY AGENDA. A new Gallup poll shows that mainstream America is not quite ready to have the gay agenda shoved down their collective throats. It’s an easy answer for the GOP, but liberal candidates will now have to go on record as to where they stand on the touchy subject of gay marriage.

9) HAVE THE GROUP MOVE ON.ORG ON YOUR SIDE. Move on. Org is great for the left, but frightens the mainstream. Pushing Howard Dean to the front of the pack with their early Internet poll is a recipe for a landslide presidential loss.

8) PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE BOB GRAHAM GETTING LOADS OF AIRTIME. Graham has no shot at winning his parties nomination but is killing his party’s chances with his hatred of President Bush. He is hitting the talk show circuit hinting at impeachment for President Bush’s decision to go to war with Iraq, even though the US Congress in two votes backed it and the American public still supports it by a wide margin. Graham looks more foolish with each appearance and couldn’t do more for President Bush if he were a Republican supporting the President.

7) CONTINUING TO QUESTION THE ‘SIXTEEN WORDS’. This will never resonate with the mainstream. America still supports the President’s decision to go to war by nearly 2-1.

6) JOHN KERRY CONTINUING TO CHANGE ON EVERY ISSUE. Once considered a clear front runner, the snobbish John F(rench) Kerry now can’t decide if he supported the war, should have supported the war, or was against the war with Iraq. The trend is developing on all issues now as Kerry tries to reinvent himself, ala Al Gore. The only thing Kerry is sure about is that he was in the Vietnam War. Give him two minutes into any interview, he’ll tell you.

5) THE LOOMING CANDIACY OF HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON. Hillary Clinton still has yet to rule out running in 2004 if she believes Bush is vulnerable. She takes away from the other Democratic candidates and leads in many primary polls even without yet declaring. If she does declare, she frightens the mainstream so much you will see an increase in voter registration and contributions to the Republican Party unmatched in American history.

4) THE CONSTANT NEGATIVE ATTITUDE AGAINST THE ECONOMY. While it rallies the base, it turns off most Americans. America is hungry for an economic upswing now and resents the political pandering to the fringe by the left in talking it down. The Democrat plan seems to be to talk down the American economy and hope it continues to fail until November 2004. So much for being the party of the working class.

3) THE CONSTANT QUESTIONING ON THE WAR WITH IRAQ. The majority of America backed this war, and will continue to support the troops and President Bush and most don’t appreciate the undermining of the war effort to score political points with the far left.

2) IGNORING JOE LIEBERMAN. Lieberman probably still couldn’t win as he is a dry as toast, but is the only Democratic candidate with the guts to call the Iraq war just. Democrats are perceived as weak on security issues, but Lieberman could change that. The far left hates this and is continuing to ignore his candidacy. They are so focused on the liberal base and their blind hatred for all things Bush, they can’t see the possibilities of Lieberman challenging President Bush on issues that really matter to mainstream America.

And the number one way for the left to lose the Presidential election in 2004.

1) HOWARD DEAN. Dean’s dark horse rise to near the top of the Democratic nine is a gold mine for the GOP. Dean is a far out left wing candidate who has landslide loss written all over his candidacy if he pulls the upset off and is the Democratic Presidential nominee in 2004. Blame the Internet, blame Move On .Org or just blame these totally inept nine candidates, but the Democrats are so lost, he could pull it off.

Dean is a nightmare for the DLC, and any other Democrat who wants to win back the White House in 2004. He is also Karl Rove’s dream candidate. His continued success in the primary season spells a McGovernesque ending in November 2004 for the liberals. If Dean wins the nomination, the Democrats lose. Big.
