As members of an elite group of Navajo Marines approach their 90s, they know there's little time left to
tell the story how they used their native language to confound the Japanese during World War II.

"We're old, old timers, way up in the 80s, later 80s," said Keith Little, president of the Navajo Code Talkers Association. "Most all Code Talkers are like that."


What they envision as a venue for telling those stories is closer to a reality. Chevron Mining Inc., recently donated 208 acres of land to the association for a museum and veterans center.
