question about Voc Rehab

How much control do individuals have over decisions coming from the va regarding vocrehab training. Over the last 5 years every education plan I have had submitted to the VA has been denied. What are my alternatives if the appeal process doesnt work out? I have been told I would be better off giving up my disability rating and using my GI bill, but that doesnt make ANY sense. Has any one had any luck going through their congressman/woman?

Please let me know if you have any options I might try.

I've been down that road Bill. I used the GI Bill. I could not use both at the same time and I was told that when the GI Bill ran out I could then go to Voc Hab for as long as it took.

The GI Bill worked for me. Good luck.

On another note, I have a friend who is going to college on voc rehab. He said they made him sign over his GI Bill.

I decided to keep my GI Bill and go that route.
