Ball gowns for Marine spouses sought

San Juan Capistrano wants used ball gowns to help support the city's "adopted" 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment at Camp Pendleton.
Gently used ball gowns will be given to female Marines and to wives of servicemen to help offset the cost of the annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball, to be held Nov. 14 in Maryland.
Clean gowns in all sizes and styles can be dropped off from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the San Juan Community Center, 25925 Camino del Avion. Donations must be received by Sept. 4.
