I was taking my walk on the opposite side of the street that I normally walk on the other day and noticed what looked to be the First Marine Division ensignia hand crafted out of concrete and paint in front of a house. By the ensignia, at the top, was a flag pole with the United States of America flag flying gently into the afternoons breeze.
Today, I took a walk over to the same house and met the owner, a Marine that served in the 60's with The First of the First of the First. We had a nice conversation and I asked him if I could take a couple of pictures of his handy work so that I could post them on this website and he said,"Why not?" Well, here they are.
A side note: This Marine said that it was not important that his name was mentioned, so, I won't.
