Hello there!

I'm a former member of the British Royal Marines, but I now work in Iraq as a security consultant on a DoD contract.

I have just opened a new online forum for military personnel to discuss their cars, trucks, rods and anything else they may own with 4 wheels. As I work in Iraq, I thought that it would be a good idea to open a board so that the servicemen and woman based in Iraq and Afghanistan could have a place to kick off their boots and talk about their cars, show off their rides and meet fellow enthusiasts.

The board is new so its nothing special yet, but with a little input from the troops it should hopefully develop in to a worthwhile community, a one stop shop so to speak for all your motoring discussion.

The forum is called: Car Forums Online and the link to the site is: http://www.carforums-online.com (http://www.carforums-online.com/)

If I can encourage just a few of you to join then I'm sure that many more will follow. I plan to market the forum to the troops when I return to Iraq at the end of the month.

Thanks in advance for your participation and I look forward to welcoming some of you to the forum in the future.

Thank you.

Maybe you ought to drop in here (http://www.leatherneck.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=24) and check in with your brothers before you get carried away with advertising. That being said, keep up the work we left off over There and good luck with your new forum... SF

I apologize, I should have introduced myself first. I'm ex 45 Cdo 1993 - 96 and then Poole from 96 - 2001. I currently work in Iraq on a DoD contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers in Baghdad.

My post was not meant to spam members from this board, but to make them aware that I have opened a car forum for general auto discussion. My aim is to get as many servicemen & woman from all services involved, so I apologize again for my rude appraoch to marketing my new forum.

I am happy to answer any questions, and will become actively involved with reply to other members threads in the future.

Thank you.

Ellie will be the final judge on this one but you may have to change your profile. AND this thread may get deleted, as we are very strict about what you can advert here.

Time will tell.
