Hello Marines,

I have a question regarding my MOS selection as an officer. I plan on being with the artillery. As a 2nd Lt however what would my job be generally? Is there a decent amount of action ? Is it a good choice for my MOS ?

First of all, good luck on becoming an officer, and furthermore on being artillery. I don't know much about the job specifically, seeing as I'm just a boot going through school to learn weather...

If you get artillery, As a 2ndLT you will be a Forward Observer, Then 1stLT you may move over to a Fire Direction Center (FDC) of a Firing Battery to be the FDO: Fire Direction Officer.
