I got this in an e-mail, and thought it deserved posting here. SF

Can you spare ten minutes to watch this to the end? I hope so !!!

It may give you a lump in your throat or maybe a tear in your eye.

Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009 .

The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough , Georgia . A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.

The link below is a short travelogue of that day's remarkable and painful journey. Watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in people restored.

in Ohio, last year, ayoung Army PFC was killedin Iraq. The people inthe area linedthe road for 65 miles while officers from the Ohio State Patrol, Zanesville Police Department and the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office escourted his body home. Very emotional site to see andbe a part of it. I represent the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office for escourting all service members killed when they return home and I consider it an honor.

Marine, Army, Navy, or Air Force, it makes no difference. They all die. The very least we can do is honor their sacrifice. And anyone who volunteers to do funeral detail for one of our fallen has a special place in my heart, and a special respect. And all those who take time out from there safe and busy lives to show respect for a passing Military funeral procession, have my gratitude. SF
