My question relates to a section of the Marine Officer web page for Judge Advocates that refers to beyond your first tour. In this section the job description says that with being unrestricted line officers JA's are able to fill in different billets after their first tour. When speaking of a first tour does that generally mean my first assignment, my first tour overseas, or my first contractual tour of duty (42 months)? Basically will I have the opportunity to serve within a different billet in my first contract or will i have to sign again in order to do so? If that is the case, would I be able to go into an entirely different MOS, like infantry when signing again?

Normally, the first tour, is your first enlistment expiration date.

Thank you, that's kind of what I figured. Oh well, I guess.
