I am getting ready to Lat move to cobra in Huey Mech in i have been in an arty battalion for last 3 years, but spent most of my time with grunts. I will be promoted next month so before i even go do ojt n school i will be a Sgt. Just wondering what to expect on the air side from the ground sound cause i have only herd from people wanting to go to the ground side instead of to the air side. Any incite would be helpful and anyone that has been thru 6114 school (preferably NCO's that went through the school)

One piece of advice; don’t be that guy who goes around saying that the ground side is better or that the air wing is messed up. We had a retread Grunt with that mentality and needless to say, he alienated himself from the get go. Besides, you may be surprised just how many more hours you will put in on the air wing side!
