Fireworks and the 4th

Went out today in uniform. Love that part of the 4th
It's now 9pm, and I'm going to go take night-night pills.
Seems my neighbor bought some very large fireworks this year. (Morter rounds). seems to think it's funny, and is sending them off over and around my house.
This is going to be a rough night....
Hope the pills work quick, I just hate the groggy feelling in the AM.

Had a very hard night also.
My night night pills are brain grenades aka beer.
Worked to a point.
So I called a couple of old friends that seemed to be having the same problem.
One that is young enough to be my son and another old enough to be my father.
We got through it but damn.
Guess you can't be untrained.
Improvise, overcome and adapt.

Went to bed on the 4th, tuned out the world.

6th &7th, I bunkered in, Luckily I was off.
Wife helped me thru it, Also called and talked to my older brother, He has some rough nights to. It does help to talk to people who listen and don't judge or criticise.
I swear my wife is a saint. I have to deal with things that I won't even talk to her about, but she still deals with me and helps me thru them.
God bless her, and anyone who puts up with us.

Same goes for my wife SSgt.
She is way younger than me but was brought up on the rough side.
A true hard ass and an angel at the same time.
Seems to have a talent for dealing with my sorry arse when it hits the fan in my
head. like you said, God bless them for putting up with us.
My first 2 were non hackers.
