New Poolee/ Anyone Shipping 20100624

Hi just wanted to check in since i just found this forum and say i've signed my papers and got my ship date i've now been to three poolee functions and have already seen a ton of improvemt just the first function i coudn't finish a mile and a half run today we ran 3 miles and i finished no problem.

Also, Is anyone else on here shipping to Parris Island June 24th of 2010?

First off, you dont ship for over a year, there is no need to make a thread asking people shipping that day. Plus your not shipping on a monday, which is weird, are you shure thats ur date? I dont think you will find anyone else on this forum with a weird date like that. I ship 20100621 to MCRDSD tho.

The 24th is the date the gave me at MEPS and the date my recruiter told me my friend ships on the 19th which is a saturday hmm maybe it's the 26th but at any rate my shipping date was kind of the side factor of my post i just figured i'd make it one instead of putting up 2 posts

You ship on a monday if you live close to MCRD. I ship on the 24th of August and thats a monday.

well i'm going to MCRDPI not SD so maybe thats why the date is weird

Ok that makes sence and Gunner614, I live in Minnesota and im going to SD, thats not even close. I thought everyone shipped on monday, but I guess some have shipped on other days, but I have no idea why, or what the reason was.

I just enlisted on Friday and my ship date for now is 20100621 MCRDPI, but my MSgt said it may move to a week before or after that.

YYMMDD

20090712, would be today's date.

Hartford, thanks for the correction. I haven't had use for the proper date format (yet) and have been trying to focus on the General Orders, Corps values and PT.

if you read up at the begining you'll see where i said my date was only the second part of it so i didn't make 2 posts i just added to where i was saying i was a new poolee

Since I have been here, most people discuss shipdates and try to find out who they ship with a month-a couple weeks ahead of time. :beer:

And cressler I know the discussion of ship dates was not the original intent of the thread :p
