Osprey Rescue Mission

It's mission complete for the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit. The Camp Lejeune Marines made history when they used two ospreys to conduct a ship-to-shore emergency medical evacuation.
It was a drill to practice rescuing a sailor from the USS Bataan last week. After the osprey picked up the patient, the crew flew him to the nearest airport, about 145 miles away.
One of the pilots said the osprey makes it possible for them to conduct difficult missions like this.
