And I was wondering if any of the fellas on here had served as snipers. I'm wanting to try and make the cut. I've been an avid outdoors men my entire life (camping, hiking, hunting etc.) and I've heard that that's the type of person they usually look for in a general sweep of recruits and enlisted members. I was wondering if this was true and if so what I should do to prepare beforehand. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't refer to Marines as....you fellas. They've EARNED the title, call them Marines!!!

I'm just going to throw this out there and say.... snipers don't get selected during boot camp or before (that I know of) and preparing for it is simple... become a Marine...
just have a 300 PFT 300 CFT expert on the rifle range etc etc etc and maybe you can request to become a sniper after your first enlistment.
