Our company does quite a bit of work with GM at the Lordstown, Ohio branch and we have been very fortunate to have produced the Cobalt the last couple of years at this plant.
Michigan was a power house for car and truck production for as long as I can remember. My brother -in-law worked for Ford in Michigan also.
I've watched the Dog and Pony shows that the Big 3 were subjected to the last couple of months. I think that the Congressional panels forget all the money that GM has given to Washington thru the years - billions and billions in tax revenue alone ! Its a shame what has happened to the manufacturing businesses in this country - all the rules and regulations that the local, state and federal governments apply - its a wonder anyone wants to operate a business anymore.
