BRAINTREE —

Local businesses have pitched in to feed and house the members of the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Team on their visit to town.

The group will march in Saturday’s Independence Day parade and perform an exhibition from 4 to 4:30 p.m. at Braintree High School.

Accommodations are being provided by Extended Stay America on Rockdale Street; the Hampton Inn on Wood Road; Holiday Inn Express on Wood Road; and Candlewood Suites on Wood Road.

Artie Kyranis, owner of Maria’s Italian Restaurant on Quincy Avenue, is providing dinner for the Marines on Saturday night.

Parade Chairman John Robinson said the committee is thankful for the support.

“We wouldn’t have been able to host the U.S. Marines Silent Drill Platoon from Washington without this group of local business establishments partnering with our parade,” Robinson said.

He also acknowledged the support of Linda Cusick, facilities manager of RJV Realty Corp. of Braintree; Richard Valentine, owner and president of F1 Boston; Mayor Joseph Sullivan; and Police Chief Paul Frazier and the staff and officers of the department.
