New Tattoo Policy Question

I’ve been searching the pubs and I can’t find any guidance, so hopefully someone here knows the good word. I’m looking to get back in after four years of broken service and have a tattoo that covers the front of my shin, knee to ankle. Does my prior service status allow me to claim “grandfathered” from the new sleeve policy?

If it is not documented then I doubt it because how would they know you had while you were in. All the Marines that got grandfathered in had a pg 11 entry. Talk to a recruiter they would know more but my answer is im sorry.
