I’m starting this thread to help assist any and all Marines who are interested in returning to the Corps as a reservist. Since I have extensive knowledge on what it takes to affiliate with the reserves and a Prior Service Recruiter who is an outstanding recruiter I feel as if I could provide the most assistance to my fellow Marines at this juncture. Here are the steps that need to be taken to affiliate:
1. Go to this website to see what is available in your area or close by:

b. Fax it to this number:

5. Any questions contact me through a PM or you can call PSR SSgt. Gordon at 503-286-3962 if he doesn’t pick up leave a message because he is extremely busy. Be sure to tell him Sgt. Ritter sent you.

Sgt Ritter, can you post a checklist that the PSR uses so that Marines have an insight of what they will need to do while they are twiddling their thumbs waiting? Thanks, Semper Fi.

I asked SSgt. Gordon for the checklist but he said it was incredibly long and that it would be hard for people to interpret what exactly everything means. There are a lot of forms that need to be completed if a Marine has only been out for no more than three years. If a Marine has completely separated from the Marine Corps then they will need a waiver which takes a little while longer. However, the good part about SSgt. Gordon’s chain of command is that they haven’t had a waiver denied yet. On a side note, I told SSgt. Gordon about this site and specifically this thread so he will be frequenting this site and thread as much as he can. If anyone has question just throw them in this thread and once SSgt. Gordon creates an account he will assist anyone as much as he possibly can.
