I've been told that if I was to take a signing bonus now, That if I decided to Re-up I wouldnt be able to recieve one then. Any of you know whether this is true or not?

Question for you.

Who or what is the source of that infomation?
Is that source reliable?
Did you ask YOUR Recruiter?

my source is the recruiter. It doesnt really matter now, I signed my papers like 10 months ago. Was just wondering if that was true or not.

I got a bonus when I enlisted, and nobody said anything to me about not being eligible for a reenlistment bonus. One thing to remember though, that bonus is far from guranteed. There may be one for your MOS when you reenlist, or there may not be. Just depends how the manpower situation is at that time.

Enlistment and reenlistment incentives change as often as you change your skivies.

It might be best to talk to a "now" Recuriter.

I've never heard of such a thing, though I'm not a recruiter so I wouldn't know for sure.

My advice: Don't worry about the bonuses right now. It may be a perk, but I don't think you'll later view it as a big deal.

Reenlistment bonuses are not tied to enlistment bonuses. Reenlistment bonuses are based on the current needs of the Corps for that particular MOS, not whether you had gotten money before.
