3/8 to receive Quilts of Valor

A group from California has traveled across the country to meet the Marines and sailors of 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, and give them a token of appreciation.
The Quilts of Valor Foundation will be delivering 1,200 quilts to 3/8 Monday morning.
However, before they can be delivered the quilts need to be tagged.
The foundation will be at the American Legion Building on Broadhurst Road tagging the quilts, said Joseph Traumer, president of the Onslow County Veteran's Council who is helping the organization with the project.
Volunteers will be meeting at the American Legion at 1 p.m.. If interested in volunteering, call Traumer at 910-265-8683.
