Im just looking for some help on the mos.Sorry for mentioning army.
Is anybody a LAV Scout?

We told you almost an hour ago that it existed....you just didn't get the answer you wanted. Don't start polluting the boards with multiple threads on the same thing... What did your research tell you about LAV scout?

Marines assigned to this Unit must have excellent Swim Qualification scores. A crew consists of a driver, usually the least senior (0313, the MOS designation for LAV Crewman), a Vehicle Commander (VC) and the Gunner. The gunner operates the main gun, the Bushmaster M242 chaingun. The VC makes target acquisition changes and helps the Gunner make adjustments. The remaining crew consists of Scouts (0311). The LAV can hold as many as 6 scouts, but in most cases there are only 3-4 in the back. There is also 1 Corpsman per Platoon. An LAV Platoon consists of 4 vehicles usually divided into Alpha section and Bravo section. The platoon commander will Control one section and also be the VC of one of the LAV'S and the Platoon Sgt. will control the other section as well as be VC as well.

Not being an expert, I can't say how accurate this is, but it is from the 3rd LAR wiki.. You suck at research, but I hope this gets you back on track...

BASICALLY what PIB is showing you is....if you wanna go in front of the LAV and search for targets for that bushmaster cannon to rain hate and discontent on...become an 0311.

Gavin, do you think you need to post every single thought/idea that you think of on these boards? I have never seen one person make so many threads in such a short amount of time I mean really!!! Settle down on your post and do some research..

Start doing research. Study up on what's going on around the world so that you have a better understanding as to what you could be doing. Read, read, and then read some more. Never make a blind decision. You have the time...so take it and find answers out on your own first. IF for some reason you can't find an answer on your own...then you may ask. Many of us on this site who will have the most up to date information do not have the time to read and answer stupid questions that you can answer for yourself. Do not forget that the name of this site is "leatherneck.com" Meaning it is a site for Marines. The presence of poolees and wannabes is a privilege that you have been given. You wanna be a frickin CAV Scout then join the Army. The Army and the Marine Corps are two completely different things...you don't like what the Marine Corps has for jobs then don't join...simple as that.

Forgive me if I'm wrong...but aren't the US Army Cav Scouts trained to assault from helicopters? Then I don't think we have an equivalent MOS.
