Beaufort Marines dies in Afghanistan

The military is investigating the death of a South Carolina-based Marine in Afghanistan, according to a Defense Department news release.
Lance Cpl. Matthew G. Reza, 27, of Austin, Texas, was killed May 31 as a result of a “nonhostile” incident in Khandahar province, the release states.
Reza was assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 31 at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. No other information was immediately available.
