Are there any poolees out there shipping to the Island on 1/4/2010? I dont know how i was so unlucky to get my ship date being all the way into next year. I dont know about any of you, but its hard to go to work every day knowing that i got 7 months until i go. Trying to stay motivated.

Why stop at the IST? Why not shoot the PFT score up so the IST is a piece of cake

Could probably talk with the recruiter about training for the CFT while he's at it. That's a sh!t ton of time.

Oh dont think by any means im not trying to get my IST as high as humanly possible. But its still a long ass time. And busting my tail as hard as i can for a date that seems to be forever away isnt easy. The IST score on my signature was my first and the first physical activity ive done period in the past two years. So theres definitely plenty of room to improve thats the only plus to this hellacious wait.

Im scheduled to be leaving the week after you, and like mentioned im using this time to get myself in the best shape I can be physically and mentally. Set goals for yourself to accomplish by your shipdate(run x amount in set time, x amount of pushups, etc.), and when you surpass them make newer tougher ones. It keeps me quite motivated.

I signed a 04XX contract. Logistics. Hopefully ill get Air Delivery but im not holding my breathe. From what ive been told ill probably get Embarker. But we'll see. I wanna be a Marine first.

You have til January, you might ship with a kid I work with. But easy on the thread and just PT if you want your IST/PFT through the roof :evilgrin:

I know what you mean man, it sucks having to wait 6 months. Im gonna get a job n take some fall classes to pass the time.
