Military appreciation event planned

MOREHEAD CITY — A day of fishing and family fun will be held Saturday in Morehead City as a way to say thanks to military personnel and their families.
Military Appreciation Day 4 will include fishing trips on chartered boats, land-side family activities at two waterfront parks and an evening of free food and live entertainment.
MAD events are held for active duty military, Guard and Reservists and their families. Put on by Military Appreciation Day Inc., a nonprofit organization of volunteers out of Charlotte, the sole goal of the event is to say thanks those who serve their country.
