Over eight days, the names of the more than 148,000 service members buried at Riverside National Cemetery were read in their honor. Day and night, for 24 hours a day, their names were read.
My family and I was given the wonderful opportunity to participate on May 23rd, 2009, from about 8:45pm to 10:00pm.
About 21 people are buried there a day. It was opened in 1976.
